Religion in Hollywood is very much black and white. We have those celebrities that are highly public about their religion
and then we have those that have zero to say about the topic. Maybe
it’s because openly expressing one’s religion can stir up controversy.
Or maybe it’s that fact that it’s a delicate and personal matter. We all know about the celebrities that stay mute when the topic of
religion comes up, but what about those famous people that don’t? The
ones that actually take pride in their beliefs and values. Most of us know about Tom Cruise
and his belief in the spirit-not the body and mind. Or how about the
Jonas Brothers and the headlines they made for taking a vow of chastity? More celebrities than we think have no shame in their religion and
are proud to make it known. Here is a list of the celebrities that live
their lives according to a religion.
Beyonce
Beyonce Knowles grew up as a Methodist Christian, but considers herself to be more "spiritual" than religious.
The Kardashians
The Kardashian clan pride themselves in
being Christian and attending church every Sunday. They also got
recognition for using the word "Bible".
Miley Cyrus
Miley Cyrus has a strong Christian faith and said she is here to be a light, a testimony, saying "God's will made this happen."
Justin Bieber
"I'm a Christian and I pray before every
show," Justin Bieber said about his faith. He also got a large visage of
Jesus tattooed on his left calf.
Madonna
Madonna is a firm believer in Kabbalah, even though she was born and raised a Catholic.
The material girl was recently spotted donning a black wig while leaving a Kabbalah party.
Angus T. Jones
Angus T. Jones is a Seventh-day Adventist
Christian and said that the show he stars in, "Two and a Half Men", goes
against his religion.
Ashton Kutcher
Ashton Kutcher was raised Catholic, but calls himself "spiritual" while apparently studying Kabbalah. Kutcher has been linked to actress Mila Kunis, and is the soon-to-be ex-husband of Demi Moore.
Stephen Baldwin
Stephen Baldwin is a self-proclaimed "Jesus
Freak'" and said his life changed forever after he decided to live it in
a godly way.
Mel Gibson
Mel Gibson is a Catholic and even directed the film "The Passion of the Christ".
